Nick began his career at Carlton Television in 1996 working in its broadcast facility based at The London Studios. He started as an engineering runner, before progressing to booking co-ordinator, VTR operator, edit assistant and finally engineer. Whilst at ITV, he was involved in operations and projects. He spent a year in the Emerging Technologies department, where he set up and evaluated file-based workflows and future HD technologies.
Nick then became part of the London Studios technical support team, servicing studios, post-production and transmission, before joining Input Media in May 2005.
Initially responsible for Post Production, he became Director of Technology in 2009, and now defines Input Media’s technical strategic direction. He leads our engineering teams and is responsible for the technology and workflows delivered for our key customers from our London Production Centre, and for major external jobs such as Roland Garros and the Women’s World Cup.
